Bill, Troy, Murph stand before Persistent in PA

After several conversations and a lot of research, Troy Cain decided it was time for him to trailer his boat southeast this spring for a splash in the Chesapeake Bay.
This plan had multiple benefits:
1. Get an early start on the sailing season.
2. Enjoy sailing waters not sailed before.
3. Expand our sailing skills as we would be anchoring, navigating and piloting waters new to us.

We needed several items to be accomplished, including a vehicle to haul the boat and trailer, as Troy didn't have one large enough and most importantly, a slip for the boat to safely call home while we were working during the week. Both were soon resolved as I had a vehicle, my conversion van, and our mutual friend Bill Paviol had another friend with a house on the water near Annapolis with an open seawall for Persistent to tie to.

It proved to be a terrific plan as we enjoyed wonderful early season sailing and met the nicest, friendliest most helpful people, first and foremost, Persistent's hosts, Don and Donna Hekler.
