Twenty Knot Day on Lake Erie with Jack - July 4, 2004

Last Sunday Jack vanArsdale and I had a great sail on both the bay and out on Lake Erie. It was blowing a steady 15 – 20 knots so there were swells on the open lake, 2 – 4 feet (which means occasional 5 footers). Of course, the great breeze made for excellent sailing, so we had a blast. Jack, an experienced sailor who owns (and may soon be selling) a Cape Dory 19, steered Kelly III for most of the 5 hours we were out sailing.
