Central Oregon Coast

The fog flirted with us for
much of the drive north.

Our drive continued north from the "Banana Belt" to Siltcoos Lake where we camped while kayaking and hiking in the area.

All the best photos are Jada's.

See the mountain through the fog?

Jada's trailer, "Belly," in
our campsite above Siltcoos Lake.

That's Jada's Bonsai Tree, "Bella."
Siltcoos Lake is just down the hill from our site.

The free concert in Coos Bay, OR was great!
Lots of folks were dancing to the music.

Siuslaw River Bridge, Florence, OR
Our last visit didn't take us this far north,
so this was our first time to Florence.

The waterfront was fun and interesting.

We put Jada's kayak into
Siltcoos Lake and paddled
across the lake to
explore the upper stretch of
the Siltcoos River.
We had kayaked the lower
stretch to the ocean during
our previous visit

We paddled past this little marina
where the lake drains into the river.

Recalling how much we liked the lower stretch of the river
and our hikes there, we returned to do the hike to the ocean.

We found a very nice
Boondockers Welcome
site just south of Portland.
The goal was to get Murph on
a plane back to Indy.
Of course, Jada is
always having fun!
