Moraine State Park - August 31, 2020

It's been too long between bike rides.  The few ups and downs today had me huffing & puffing more than would have been true after our (Karen and I) 250+ mile ride across Florida in late March.  I'm really out of shape and need to do a lot more riding.  🙁

Today's bicycle data

Cape Henlopen, DE - August 24, 2020

The east coast is now complete with the addition of Delaware to the RV Map.

East End Lighthouse and Cape Henlopen seen from the
dunes of the state park.  Panorama Here

Cape Henlopen is growing!  I found this similar to the way
Presque Isle, Erie, PA was moving eastward until
breakwaters were built there to stop the beach erosion

Murph's bicycle on the trail

The bike ride included a loop around Cape Henlopen
State Park and Fort Miles, from WWII.

Ocean view from Fort Miles, Panorama Here

The Georgetowne-Lewes Trail seems very new and smooth, a wonderful and easy ride
Another beautiful campsite, Martinak SP, MD
Looking downstream on Watts Creek, that's the
Choptank River in the distance

The trip to Delaware from Annapolis was easy on smooth roads

Baltimore-Annapolis Trail - August 21, 2020

The Baltimore-Annapolis Trail is the
third segment of the East Coast Greenway
that I cycled this summer.
The other segments were in Florida and Maine

Interesting sculpture along the trail, Not the bicycle!  :-)

The "Planet Walk" was also part of this trail

Of course the Sun begins this portion of the trail

What happened to Mars?
I looked very carefully and never found it.

Unfortunately, Uranus, Neptune
and Pluto were also missing

Southbound! August 7-20, 2020

Our trip southbound was MUCH faster than our drive north to New England.  We covered the distance from east central Vermont to Bloomsburg, PA in one day.  After a couple nights doing chores in Bloomsburg, we had a leisurely, rural drive to Mountville, PA to get the RV inspected for some major coach repairs. Once the coach was inspected we made a brief visit to Annapolis to catch up with friends, then stored the RV nearby.  In marathon mode, we drove a rental car in a single day to Titusville, FL.  Karen and I opened up her home from being shuttered against a possible hurricane, then I made the return trip to the RV in another marathon trek while Karen reunites with friends and family in Florida.

Our boondocker site in Bloomsburg had a wonderful mountain view
Our site in the Red Rock Campground was nice,
but would have been underwater in a heavy rain
We enjoyed a nice walk to and through the park
while waiting for the RV to be inspected
A fun sign along our walk

This tranquil stream ran through Froelich Park
Our very nice boondocker site near Mountville

Interesting sights as we drove the rural route to Annapolis

The Francis Scott Key Bridge over the Patapsco River

That buoy brought great memories to mind

Even Annapolis had an example of roadside fun
at St. Martin's Lutheran Church

Sunrise as I drive north past Fort AP Hill, Bowling Green, VA

Harry and I enjoy time together while social distancing

Quechee State Park, VT - August 6, 2020

A truly gorgeous evening
We loved the campground and our site in the Quechee State Park.  It was a beautiful day for a nice walk around the grounds.  Tomorrow we begin our return trek southbound.

With Vermont now on the RV map only
Delaware is missing from the east coast
