Winter Haven Christmas Lights

This neighborhood has been doing this for the city for 73 years.

It's so cold in Tucson I had to wear my windbreaker tonight for the Christmas Lights in Winter Haven! 🙂

This house lighting was inspired by the AZ license plate.

It seems the house behind Jada won the
award from the power company for
generating the most profits from
a single residence this quarter. 🙂

The theme for this home was the Wizard of Oz.
Note the ruby slippers and
the Witch on the bike (in the tree).

So cold it was snowing in Tucson! Ok, not really. That's just another fancy house display. 🙂

Old Tucson Christmas

Old Tucson is a former movie studio that is now an amusement park themed on the old west.  Jada and I spent a chilly and fun evening enjoying how Old Tucson celebrates Christmas.

Krampus display.

This show was a funny, heartwarming display of
Christmas shenanigans.

Santa posing with Jada and me.

Snake Visitor

Unfortunately, I discovered my snake friend was dead.

Brown Mountain Trail

Brown Mountain Trail is at Tucson Mountain Park, west of Tucson and the Tucson Mountains.  This is the southeastern edge of Brown Mt. The first climb of the day, a switchback trail that clambered almost 700 vertical feet in less than 2000 horizontal feet.
At the peak of Brown Mt. it seemed
you could see forever. Those most
distant peaks are 25 miles away.

This panorama is from the top of Brown Mt.
That ridge that soars even higher,
marks the Tucson Mountains.

The saguaros were many and mostly quite tall.
Red rocks in this wash made for a
desert scheme in the colors of Christmas.
