December in Texas

Highlight of December was a nice visit with my cousin, Martha (left) and her mom, my Aunt PeeWee, who is now ninety!

A flamingo flew me from MCO to Dallas,
returning from Annapolis.

Bill and I grabbed a meal here.
It may have been a mistake as
this location was closed for health violations
soon after we were there.  😧

Heading south I found this nice mural
when I stopped to do my laundry.

One of my overnights was at this farm outside Palestine.

The three of us enjoyed a fun dinner
and a Huge dessert at the "Aquarium" restaurant
in nearby Kemah, TX.

The local pheasants visit Martha
and Aunt PeeWee almost daily!

Before leaving, I tried my hand at a selfie.

Before the year end, I took a walk on the beach at Freeport.

Riding my bike regularly was
important and Texas weather
let get back to it.  I've been riding
about 4 or 5 days a week,
in the gym when the
weather isn't cooperating.

Harry & Caps Hockey

Flying to Maryland to catch up with friends I missed by skipping the annual Annapolis U.S. Sailboat Show which I had attended for over twenty years.  This plane had an opossum on the wingtips and rudder.

Harry and I enjoyed a
lunch and beer at
The Point Crab House & Grill.

The cats enjoyed their
lifestyle, especially when it's
Christmas with Narjes & Harry.

Harry and I got our
hockey fix at the Caps game.

And the game went into Overtime!
Sadly, for the Caps and fans like
Harry, the Sharks beat
the Capitols in overtime.

While visiting Noel and
his pup, Lou,
I took a nice walk
into Annapolis Roads.

Hockey!! Oops, not Penguins, but it is Hockey!

A great hockey game, although not much was at risk as the Caps still got one point, losing in overtime and the Sharks did not elevate themselves out of their divisional basement.  But both teams played good hockey with fine passing, good shots, exciting plays and even played as solid-performing equal competitors.  A fun game to watch, especially as a Penguin fan, I had nothing to lose or win.
