As Mayor Mike Brown told me, the city of Weatherford is actively preparing for the Centennial Celebration of Route 66 in 2026. Although this park has variety to interest many folks, there is even more to come. I visited with Mayor Brown on December 1, 2020.

The park is called "Wind Energy Park," due to the large commitment to the wind energy industry near Weatherford. The park includes great info about the local industry, but also has cool, fun items celebrating Rt 66.
