Summer in PA

Not much wind so we rafted up and
made new friends, one a gifted
writer, singer & guitar player.
Great way to spend July 4!
It was a great summer as my first activities in PA were biking and sailing!

Kelly VI's path from MD to western PA.

Our raft-up included this classic, small runabout,
owned by the guitarist/singer/songwriter.

Before sailing I enjoyed a
terrific bicycle ride along the lake.

That brick honoring my Dad is in Zelienople.
As he was commissioned just
after Korea ended, the implication
that he saw active service
in Korea is incorrect.

Paul, my son, and his two kids, Avery & Jesse.
We had a wonderful bike ride around their neighborhood.
This house with the fish pond out front,
is a favorite stop for the kids.

Jesse is a fan of the small cars, planes, trains, etc.
And Avery joins him playing on occasion.

Back at the park for another bike ride.
All summer I was able to do a
number of rides, most at
Moraine State Park.

Good friend and sailor, John, invited me aboard his
Flying Scot racing boat for a wonderful sail on a light air day.

My godson, Geoff, plays saxophone
sitting second from the right as the
Harmony-Zelienople Jazz Band
performs in downtown Zelienople.
