Boat Show 2022

Most of the show is set up
by Wednesday evening.
Boat Show!  It has been almost thirty years since I attended my first US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, MD.  Since 2015, my appearance at the show has been due to my helping a great friend, Harry, as his one-man IT operation requires a helper to enable his clients' computers to operate at the show.  Harry has numerous clients and their booths all have to be operational by the opening of the show on Thursday morning.  Since he can't begin to set up until Tuesday morning, a lot has to be done in a very short time.  Thankfully, the job has become easier as very few wires must be run these days, unlike 10 years ago.  At this year's show all of Harry's clients access their systems via the internet, which he establishes via wireless networks.

This marina is a temporary marina.  The show host,
Annapolis Boat Shows, builds this 300 boat marina,
uses it for two weeks, then dismantles it until next year.

Harry's office, once the work is done.
Well, all except a few phone calls. 😊

Great friend and former
Pittsburgher, Noel, now
lives in Annapolis and
is an active volunteer for
several causes.

As all the show work was done, on Saturday
we took a side trip to the RAR Brewpub, Cambridge, MD.

On the way home, we were waylaid
by another brewery,
Ten Eyck Brewing Company.

Harry and Cable invite me to
join them for a nice hike.

This colorful mushroom caught my eye,

Boat Show!

This is the huge crew from the Moraine Sailing Club in
attendance at the 2022 USSS.

Captain Sean and his Admiral, Anita.

Since many MSC boat owners sail Catalina Yachts, we
were invited to join their party.

President of Catalina Yachts, with the MSC crew.

Celebrating after another successful show.
