Return to the Texas Shore

Our camping spot on the beach.  With a very hard-packed
surface of mostly shells, Kelly VI, my RV, did very well
with no chance of getting stuck.

The next day Kelly VI safely trucked us to Magnolia Beach on the Texas shore.  Enroute, we passed through the small town of Cuero, TX.  We learned this is the "Turkey Capital of the WORLD!"

It was time for a relaxing few days, yet they proved a bit too chilly to go swimming or kayaking, but we did enjoy our bicycles, if briefly.

All the best photos were taken by Jada.

Turkey Capital of the World!
We took an evening walk along the shore
and onto a local fishing pier.

The breeze was cool, but a very nice walk together!

Later on our walk, we found this fun sculpture.

Dawn at the Gulf of Mexico/America.
Below are pics from along the shore at Magnolia Beach.

This fellow's camper looks heavy duty!

We rode our bikes to a
small marina and pub at Indianola.

This warning was in the pub!

Data from our bike ride.

At our Boondockers Host site, enroute to Houston.

We had Sunday brunch, returning to a spot I enjoyed
on my earlier trip through this area. (Click Here)

On the train returning
from Houston to Tucson,
this is sunset west of San Antonio.

Sunrise on the train.
Desert view from the train, east of Alpine, TX and
north of Big Bend.

Alpine, TX is a Gateway to the Big Bend area of Texas.

Look closely .  .  .
at the telephone pole .  .  .
.  .  .  the telephone pole is THROUGH the roof!
We saw this in a building alongside the tracks in Alpine, TX.

Our roomette on the train.

Mt. Graham and nearby peaks, east of Tucson.
Back in Tucson!

Then my flight to Houston and Kelly VI.
