Great view along the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, WY Rt 296. |
June 25-27, 2021
After getting the genset repaired in Cody, WY on June 26 I drove the RV up the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway and across the Beartooth Highway through the Beartooth Pass. A challenging, yet gorgeous wilderness road. It closely followed the trek of the Nez Perce tribe as they tried to escape the US Cavalry in 1877.

You can see a L-O-N-G way from 10,000+ feet elevation. |

Even in July, there is a lot of snow at 10,000+ feet. |

It was 79F when departing Cody, now 46F at 10,000 Feet. |
