Eastern Washington

May 24 - June 1, 2021

My farewell to Oregon included driving from Nehalem Bay to Astoria and a rainy day visit to the Columbia Maritime Museum, an excellent venue with significant artifacts and exhibits explaining the maritime experiences and impact of the Columbia River and River Bar.

My first night in WA I was camped here
between this tidal stream and a
southeastern arm of Willapa Bay.

A private home along the Willapa Hills Trail
made riders feel welcome and had a fun & beautiful portal.

This snail was one of many as I hiked the Willapa Hills Trail.
He was one of the few carrying his house with him, so he's the guy I identified with.

I hiked this bridge as part of
the Willapa Hills Trail.
