North Dakota

My RV sets the perspective on the SIZE of these sculptures.
July 13-16, 2021

Began my visit to North Dakota with the Enchanted Highway east of Dickinson, ND.  HUGE, impressive metal sculptures, the largest of their kind in the world (per the brochure).

The Deer Family 2002. My RV is 25 feet long, the buck is 75 feet tall & 60 feet long.

Geese in Flight 2001. The RV looks much larger
as it is 100 feet closer to the camera.
The Sun's rays are 156 feet long x 110 feet tall.

Grasshoppers in the Field 1999

Fisherman's Dream 2006. The man sculpted in the rowboat,
fishing for the monster rainbow trout
jumping out of the water, is bigger than lifesize!

Pheasants on the Prairie 1996. That picnic table and
ramada could host a family of 8 people comfortably.

Teddy Rides Again 1993. He and
his horse, "Mullet" stand 51 feet tall!

Tin Family 1991. Note the man on his tractor mowing the grass.

The "Whirl-A-Gig" doing it's thing in Regent, ND.

Enjoyed the sights and wildlife of Theodore Roosevelt NP & Medora, ND.  Over the past two days have seen bison, wild horses, prairie dogs, but no bighorn sheep.  The badlands and grasslands are dramatic & beautiful.

the Caprock Coulee Trail, TR NP, North Unit.

The setting of the Medora Musical in Medora, ND.

The Medora Musical, a fun extravaganza of music,
dancing, stories, comedy, history, live horses &
even some juggling! in Medora, North Dakota.

The finale of the Medora Musical.

These monster oil wells pumped everywhere in ND.

Prairie dog towns were seen frequently.

We saw a few bison herds, but
this fellow was alone, blocking traffic.

In the South Unit of TR NP, horses ran wild.

I forgot to turn on the tracker app, so
this is only the return trip.
Total distance was actually 1.5 miles.
