Tucson Winter

Sunset from my Snyder Hill campsite
Winter in Tucson is pleasant.  While overnight temps can briefly dip near freezing, they quickly and often rise with the sun to quite comfortable 60s, 70s and even 80s.

That's Kelly VI in the center of the pic.

This javelina was checking out the campsite.

The javelina decided to bolt as I tried to get a clearer photo.

Each sunset is unique and often strikingly beautiful.

Typical hike from my campsite,
over Snyder Hill, then
loop around the campground.

The bike trails around and through Tucson are numerous
and excellent to ride.  Unlike rail trails, there are
significant changes in elevation.
