Kayak the Keys

This fellow guided us to the bus stop for our
ride from the campground to Key West.
The Williams and Hemmingway Museums were wonderful and filled another great day in Key West.  We began the day at a tropical "southernmost" restaurant for breakfast and wrapped up the day at a fun pub within easy walking distance of the campground.

As always, the best photos were taken by Jada.

The morning of our departure, we rented kayaks.

The US Navy jets were training
while we kayaked.

Our kayaking took us past a pier for
local fisherman and crabbers.

As our chart track shows, most of the kayaking was in
shallow water along the mangroves.

The return drive through the Keys took us
over the Seven Mile Bridge again.

The original railroad bridge was the
basis for the highway bridge that
replaced the railroad.
You may be able to see that the
old highway bridge was built
On Top of the railroad bridge trestle!

That's Pigeon Key to the left.  Once part of the bridge,
now bypassed by the Seven Mile Bridge.

Jada caught these athletes as we drove by in the Keys.

A Boondockers Welcome host was our stop for the evening
in South Florida.  Even though not AZ or KW, it's
a great sunset.
This new friend greeted us at our BW site.

We celebrated Valentine's Day with a fancy dinner
and dessert in West Palm Beach.
