The flight was an early one which enabled this

An invitation to visit Oregon and the "Banana Belt" was irresistible, especially as I'd never been there and am always excited to visit new-to-me venues.

The Oregon welcoming committee, my first day here!

A three mile walk was a
great way to start each day.

This was a hike with loads of variety.
Riverviews, fish hatchery, a dam,
fish ladder, and several small treks.

A local vineyard near Shady Cove proved an
excellent place to review the initial days in Oregon.

Jada and Murph enjoyed the winery.

Significant wildlife views near Jada's home.

Our route to the "Banana Belt."
Home away from home in Brookings Harbor

In a local pub.

Loads of beautiful, rugged shoreline.

This tunnel through the hedge lead to a beautiful,
shaded copse at Crissey Field State Recreation Site.

For the panorama of this copse, Click Here.

Just beyond the hedge tunnel was the Pacific Ocean.

Back in Brookings, this mural caught my eye.

This kite was a flying over Brookings.
It seemed to be 10-15 feet long!

That's the cuphole!

We visited many booths at the Pirate Fest
which was taking place in Brookings.

Fat Irish Pub was a great spot in
Brookings at the mouth of the
Chetco River in Brookings.

The steep, rugged hike down to Secret  Beach led us to
this secluded waterfall.

Secret Beach

We walked several hundred yards
along Secret Beach.

This natural tunnel through the rock was
 very dramatic and interesting.

Looking back towards the shore.

Looking out to sea.
