This clipper ship anchored just outside "The Bight" after FBG picked up her mooring ball the night before. We sailed past her as began our passage to JVD. |
Our second day of sailing took us to Jost Van Dyke.
Jada's well-aimed selfie catches me at the helm. |
One of many amazing homes on Tortola. This one is on the western tip near Soper's Hole. |
Nicole takes the helm with John at her side. John & Nicole have added another boat to their fleet, so they'll also be sailing Lake Erie this summer. |
Another gorgeous day on the water. |
The mooring field was full at JVD, so FBG dropped anchor at the southern edge of the mooring field. |
After dinghying ashore we grabbed a cold drink at Foxy's. |
Notice all the burgees and flags hanging at Foxy's. We'd be back for dinner, but grabbed a taxi heading to the Soggy Dollar. |
The yellow track shows our dinghy ride to Foxy's and the taxi ride to the Soggy Dollar. |
The ridge rose dramatically high above the two bays, providing this view as the taxi began the downhill trek to the Soggy Dollar. |

The view of the mooring field from the ridge above as we taxied back to Foxy's. |
The Moraine Sailing Club hat was already dangling from Foxy's rafters! John and Nicole added the LASC burgee on Wednesday morning. They even saw Foxy, himself, enjoying the morning sun! |
