Eastern Kentucky - June 14-15, 2020

Red River Gorge, Broke Leg Falls, Dawkins Line Rail Trail

June 14-15:  We drove the RV along the byways, back roads and switchbacks of Eastern KY, including KY 613 (almost a single lane!) thru the Red River Gorge.  Broke Leg Falls was a noteworthy stop.  After a night in a US Forest Service camp, we made our first bike trek, on the Dawkins Line Rail Trail, that included a tunnel!

Kentucky Rt 613 through the Red River Gorge.  The road seemed about 12 feet wide and we need 8.5 feet!  Thankfully the few cars coming towards us were small and willing to run their right tires several feet off the road.
