Bisbee & Tombstone, AZ

 

Bisbee town hall and church,
the campsite was in
mountains like these but behind the camera.

Camp at Whitewater Draw was struck, then pitched again in the mountains above Bisbee.

This very long flight of steps took us from
our lunch spot to the beginning of
the hike around Bisbee.  (See map below)

Bisbee is in a very rugged valley,
that is a main thoroughfare
winding around those natural spires.

I found this sign to be fun!

It was an extremely windy sunset.

Then Tombstone, AZ!

This unique hood decoration caught my eye.

As a tourist, the gunfight was a "must do."

Live music in the packed-to-capacity saloon.

It wouldn't be tombstone without a visit to the graveyard.

This ancient tree has shaded this courtyard for over a century.
It's the "World's Largest Rose Tree."

On Christmas Day, I broke camp, headed to Tucson.
These are my only Christmas decorations.
The creche on the left I found in Santa Fe, the white one,
carved out of stone, was from my parents.
