Fallingwater

Jada checked off another bucket list item with our visit to Fallingwater, a Frank Lloyd Wright designed home.  Jada has known of this architecural marvel since she became familiar with and visited Taliesin West in Scottsdale, AZ.  Taliesin West was a winter home and desert laboratory for Wright.  While I've visited Fallingwater in the past, it was a terrific experience for me to see it with an accomplished artist who understands the challenges and unique characteristics that make this dramatic home for the Kaufman family such an outstanding work of architecture.

All the really good photos here are Jada's.

The first full view of Fallingwater as one
crosses the creek the house is perched over.
The creek is Bear Run.
This sculpture is creekside at
the base of the home.

While still on the grounds of
Fallingwater, we enjoyed this hike.

Paradise Overlook provides a
terrific view of the Youghiogheny River.

We drove to Mt. Pleasant, PA and found
this pretty pond in the
Jacobs Creek Educational Wetlands.

Friends, Keith & Sandy, met us here for
beer, pizza, and conversation.

Our hike at Fallingwater to
the Paradise Overlook.
