Shawn, John, Kirk It seemed everyone was saying it was the perfect weekend, with the exception of the outcome of the game. |
There are four sets of photos from the 2023 Monon Bell Weekend. To see them all, Click "Older Post" at the bottom of this and previous pages.
Many Delts and their guests returned to the big tent for more fellowship and to drown the sorrowful game result.
Bill Hill hosted classmates and their guests for a dinner at the Crawfordsville Country Club.
On Sunday morning, many 603WW folks attended the Delt Service in Wabash's Pioneer Chapel presented by Steve Cox '76.
The last few to depart Crawfordsville enjoyed a final meal at the Family Forum restaurant on the east side of C'ville.

Steve Cox '76 arrived early at the chapel to prepare. |
Ed presented a poem he'd written and he "pulled a Rob" as he movingly presented a great composition. |
Ed's Composition:
Linen
Roll away the stone...
it is time.
We have come to anoint him,
we have come
to prepare his body.
We have come for him,
to hallow him
one last time.
It is all we can do for him
now.
With myrrh and aloes
we shall bathe him.
We shall wash and kiss
his feet.
We shall clean the wounds
and remove the thorns.
We shall anoint his head
and kiss his lips.
We shall fill the voids
where nails were driven,
where whips cast off flesh
and broke his body...
splattered his blood
on stones
and in heaven...
the blood of the covenant...
the forgiveness of sins.
We shall weep for our Lord
as we wrap him in linen.
