Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore

That's Chicago seen across the southern bight of
Lake Michigan, from the national Lakeshore
June 11, 2022

This is a great place for anyone to visit and has special meaning for Murph as he used to come here as a young child with his family when they visited second cousins in Chesterton, IN just a few miles south.  There was no National Lakeshore at that time, but there was a public beach where we all could ride the waves, just like the ocean but No Salt & No Sharks!

On our way north, we spent the night at a Harvest Host,
the Hunt Club Distillery in Sheridan, IN.

This view from the top of the dunes is well over
100 vertical feet above the beach.

That's Jada at the top of the dune in the red circle.

We were impressed by the birds flying in and out
of the holes in that cliff of sand.
