Massachusetts - July 15, 2020

Before bidding adieu to Massachusetts yesterday, Karen & I visited several photo ops.  We hope you enjoy these as much as we did.

William Bradford, Governor and Historian of the Plymouth Colony.  Plymouth, MA near Plymouth Rock

National Monument to the Forefathers, in Plymouth, about a mile from Plymouth Rock.

The longest name!  The lake in Webster is called .  .  .
ok, here's how it's pronounced:   https://youtu.be/4HFvJOJnCZs

A shopping plaza displays the Lake's name on their roof

Burnside Fountain in Worcester commonly called "Turtle Boy"
Bancroft Tower in Worcester in honor of a
US Secretary of the Navy, founder of the
US Naval Academy in Annapolis.

The famous Fisherman's Memorial in Gloucester.

Memorial to the Fisherman's Wives, Gloucester.

The Gloucester waterfront, dazzling with
colorful flowers and snapping flags.

Yes, a house made mostly from PAPER!

That furniture is built from rolls of
newspaper, heavily varnished.

This desk focused on articles from
Lindbergh's flight across the Atlantic.

The Paper House is perched
on large, rugged stone.

The Paper House flag is flown from a
beautifully, bright-finished wooden
boat mast in the front yard.
