Brickyard 200

Murph rode his bike a few times around the
city of Speedway which took him past the
main entrance to the IMS.
Next on the summer activity list is a brief gig working a few days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the Indy Car Grand Prix and the NASCAR Brickyard 200 came to town.  Murph worked for pretty long days but at his working post of Gasoline Alley and Pit Lane, he saw lots of great race cars and significant racing action.

A bike ride around Speedway was great exercise before setting to work the next day.

Murph's assignment had him starting before dawn,
but provided some good photo opportunities.

Randy and Murph stopped at the
Crawfordsville American Legion
where they're building a Memorial Park.
Randy bought bricks for his Dad and himself,
Murph bought one for his Dad.  (Murph is not a veteran.)

Bill's collection includes custom race car models that
he builds himself as well as photos, posters
and all things racing, including many
autographed collectors' items.

Murph and Randy visited their alma mater, Wabash College.  This bench is painted with
new statements on a frequent basis.
Now it is ready for the new freshman class,
expected to arrive soon.

Randy's first time at ax throwing and he proves
to be a natural!  He clobbered Murph by
winning all but one match.

The ax throwing venue included Wally!
