Primanti's

Their "Almost Famous" sandwich began
when truckers wanted a meal after
delivering their produce before
their long drive home.  Rather than
take the time to sit and eat the meal
in the restaurant, the truckers had
Primantis put the slaw and fries
directly on the sandwich,
so the drivers could eat
while they drove home.
The next day of playing tourists in Pittsburgh began with lunch at original Primanti's Restaurant in the Strip District near downtown Pittsburgh.

All the best photos here were taken by Jada.

Jada's drink: Moscow Mule.
Murph enjoyed his beer.

The sandwiches are so huge, we
decided to split one and eat one half each.

We took a nice walk along the
Allegheny River.  This is
looking up at the 16th Street Bridge
in the Strip District.

Look closely on the top of the large,
round bulwarks below the bridge.

Yep, M R Ducks!  Actually they're
Canada Geese.

The old Heinz Plant at the north end of
the 16th Street Bridge is now multiunit housing.
