Day 34 on Rt 66 Las Vegas, NM

Day 34 brought me to the pre-1937 Route 66 in Santa Fe, NM.  Earlier in the day I enjoyed the open spaces and increasing elevation of the New Mexico mountains, well over 7,000 ft, even visiting Las Vegas (NM Not NV)!  Although Las Vegas, NM was never part of Rt 66, as it's only a few miles from where the route passed through Romeroville, NM and offered food, lodging & other services, it was often visited by Rt 66 travelers.
