Days 36, 37 High Desert Christmas

Is it a "White Christmas" if the snow is only in the shade? Route 66 took me to my first Christmas in the high desert north of Albuquerque. Here are some pics of the area, including some along my hike today.

That's a wild coyote in my campsite.
I saw a road runner yesterday so I'm
expecting an Amazon delivery of Acme Bombs tomorrow. 🙂

My hike was along Las Huertas Creek in Placitas, New Mexico.

You know it's desert when the
overnight low is 11F and
the high in the sun is 55F.
