Day 38 Rt 66 Albuquerque, NM

Only open to NM residents. Thanks, Covid. ☹️
Day 38 traveled two legs of Route 66.  First the pre-1937 route from Placitas,  north of Albuquerque, south into the city then east to experience the "Musical Highway" that literally plays "America the Beautiful" if you're driving 45 mph.  There are no signs so you have to know that it only works eastbound on NM 333 (3H9J+G6 Albuquerque, New Mexico).  Also, the sound is a bit muted, some say the original grooves have been paved over.

A shop decoration I liked. ABQ.

Apparently everyone knows about this theater in ABQ.

This arch greets eastbound visitors and
bids adios to westbounders. Across
Central Avenue, Albuquerque, near 6411 NW.

Lots of vintage neon
across Albuquerque.

Sunset lit up the Sandia Crest.
