Day 14 Springfield Cars

66 Hubcaps make up this sculpture
near the "Birthplace of Route 66 Park"

Just west of downtown is an area that has multiple relics from old Route 66, many are run down, but several have made or are making a comeback.

I met a gent who lived his entire life near here
and shared several details about the
original burger stand where this sign is from.

The wall behind the RV has graffiti about Rt 66.

The graffiti wall covered with Route 66 images.
It really is downhill, as the previous photo shows.

I enjoyed the terrific displays, old &
beautifully refurbished autos in this museum.

The cars here were fantastic, do Click and see them!

Check out the "Motorlodge" on the back wall.

You might think that's a service station.

The plane flying away is both painting and 3D tail section.
