Day 21 Rt 66 to Edmond, OK

30 miles on Route 66 today, my photos today are probably not your typical Rt 66 pics.  Day 21 from Chicago heading west to Santa Monica.

The Seaba Station, Motorcycle Museum at the sign above.

This stone building is behind Seaba Station
and has two doors, just visible on the right.

This huge mural welcomes westbound folks to Wellston, OK.

.  .  .  Has several fun murals .  .  .

.  .  .  This is a closer view of the one above
with the Wellston 1933 bridge .  .  .

.  .  .  And these vintage pumps stand out front .  .  .

.  .  .  And this building has another mural with the classic
OK red dust painting the sides of the pickup.







This mural greets eastbound travelers to Wellston.

Just west of Wellston, OK they seem to be replacing
the 1933 truss bridge on what is now Rt 66B,
at the lower center/right in this photo.

This classic building in Arcadia housed a drug store.

"Pops" is an ultra modern gas station and
diner.  This massive icon out front displays
many colors and patterns at night.

With a HUGE selection of soft drinks, those are bottles!
This "Pop stand" is west of Arcadia, OK.

I found the cantilevered roof over the pumps Impressive!

campus, Edmond, OK. 

The detail on the back of the cape .  .  .

.  .  .  Is most impressive.

This former grain elevator is now an
auto repair shop in Edmond, OK.
